iAko Randrianarivelo is a documentary photographer and photojournalist based in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Since 2015, he has been working with leading international organizations such as UNICEF, Save the Children, and Médecins Sans Frontières, documenting urgent social, environmental, and humanitarian issues. His visual storytelling is rooted in empathy, aiming to shed light on overlooked realities and amplify the voices of those often unheard.

He honed his craft through training with VII Academy, a renowned institution dedicated to narrative and documentary photography, where he participated in workshops, events, and collaborative projects with photographers from around the world. His work reflects a deep commitment to truth, dignity, and cultural preservation, often blending aesthetic sensitivity with journalistic integrity.

Beyond commissioned projects, iAko develops personal series exploring themes such as peace, resilience, and social transformation in Madagascar. He has also been an active member of the National Scout movement Tily Eto Madagasikara from 2014 to 2021, contributing his communication skills to community initiatives and youth empowerment programs.

Passionate about continuous learning, iAko draws inspiration from literature, thoughtful discussions on communication, and global perspectives on development. His photography seeks not only to document but also to connect people inviting viewers to engage with the stories and the humanity behind each image.
