On September 6, 2025, the field of Ankadikely Ilafy came alive with the energy of the final game of the tournament organized by the ONJY Softball Club. After intense matches, Club Baravy A claimed victory over Baravy L, while our team, ONJY, finished in third place.
For me, this event held a special meaning. My passion for softball began in 2008, and since then, this sport has become an integral part of my life. It’s more than just a game – it’s a discipline that brings people together, builds team spirit, and gives everyone a chance to express themselves on the field.
Few people know that softball has existed in Madagascar for more than 25 years. Behind every match lies a tight-knit community of players, coaches, and volunteers, all driven by the same love for the sport. Clubs like ONJY are open to everyone, regardless of age or skill level. All it takes is a glove, a bat, and a bit of curiosity to discover the unique atmosphere where camaraderie comes first.
The September 6 tournament was not just a competition; it was also a reminder that softball deserves its place in Madagascar’s sporting landscape. We hope more and more people will join us and keep this beautiful collective adventure alive.
